These accompanying drafts belong to Poem 1 of the poetry collection. a way to show the evolution of a single piece of writing. The subsequent poems in the collection -between eighteen and twenty-two poems, depending on which ones earn their place by the end- will have their own accompanying drafts released later.
Below are two drafts of I Love You From Head to Soul. The idea surfaced during a series of meditations where I wondered how I could illustrate the moment when a connection evolves from being ornamental to becoming constitutional.
This is where my head went: the transition marks a shift from a bond chosen for its aesthetic appeal to one that becomes structural; a non‑negotiable element required to sustain and support a romantic dynamic that can mature…from something that feels good to something that holds weight, distributes load, and makes endurance possible.
